The squad is led by Newport RFC fullback Geraint O’Driscoll.  Geraint has an abundance of experience, having made 143 appearnaces for the black and ambers having previously played with distinction for Pontypool RFC and the Dragons.  He is joined in the back line, most notably by former Wales international Chris Czekaj and arguably the best outside half in the Premiership, Jack Maynard from Llandovery RFC.

Much like Crawshay’s Head Coach Mike Rayer, Czekaj, 32, began playing rugby for his home town club Llandaff and then went on make over 130 appearances for the Cardiff Blues.
Chris has been capped internationally in every Wales age group, from U16s to U21s until gaining his first senior cap, as well as a try, against Canada in June 2005. Despite suffering a broken leg during the second test match against Australia in 2007, Chris spent the next year recovering and rehabilitating before going on to collect a total of nine international honours.
Chris now plays at Bedford Blues under Rayer and scored a memorable hat-trick against Nottingham in season 2017/18.  We hope he will be racking up the tries at the Gnoll on Friday!

In the forwards the Crawshays have selected an excellent back row led by former Scarlets and Ospreys No 8 Morgan Allen.  27 year old Morgan the son of former Crawshay player Andy Allen, played 53 ties for the Ospreys before moving to the Scarlets and appearing on 27 occasions.  Just like his Dad, when he is on his game is an unstoppable ball carrier.

Allen is joined in the backrow by another handful, Carmarthen Quins Ed Siggery.  Ed played professionally for London Irish, London Welsh and Ealing before moving back to Wales and winning the Premiership with Merthyr last season.

The final member of the Crawshay’s backrow is Scott Matthews.  Scott was renowned as the best openside in the Premiership with Cross Keys RFC for a number of seasons before he moved to Pontypool RFC this season.

The starting team will be announced after training on Thursday evening.

The Crawshay’s squad for the tour of the Netherlands has been finalised following a couple of injury withdrawals in the final Premiership weekend of the season.

In an all-action career he played for Newport, Coventry, Cardiff and Neath, captaining the Black & Ambers to the inaugural Principality Premiership title in 2004 and winning it twice more with Neath in 2008 and 2010.

Crawshay's were hoping to use the fixture as a full warm up game for their Netherlads touring squad.  With the Premiership season however having been extended to May 19th, some of the touring squad will be finishing off their league campaign.  A strong squad has however been selected to honour this special fixture for a special player.
We hope to see you there.
